“I fell in love with the face powders when I first started out as a beauty writer some 25 years ago. That love-in has continued with the nail polishes, eyeliners and more. It's never-ending!”
"Chic and hardworking, this superb range of French cosmetics comes in an array of pretty, classic colours"
"My interest in beauty began aged 8 when I walked past The Body Shop in Bournemouth – Anita Roddick is my absolute idol", reveals Scott Duncan, who is the UK distributor for this brand.
"I started selling T. LeClerc in 2007 in Medusa Apothecary, my beauty boutique in Dorchester, and fell in love with traditional French elegance and formulations. I just felt the brand offered a special something that other makeup brands lacked – and I'd had a lot of experience working with other beauty companies in department stores over the years. So I got on a train to Paris and begged them to let me take care of the brand in this country.
I think my sheer enthusiasm won them over because after a three hour meeting I got the green light and came home with a bag full of their cosmetics. And I haven't looked back!"
SCOTT'S MAKEUP TIPS:
1. Yellow toned correctors, concealers and powders brighten complexion and diffuse light - use these around the eye area.
2. When setting foundation you can use either a powder puff to create a matte finish or a powder brush for a lighter, airy texture.
3. To make lipstick colour last longer and hold better, line the lips and apply the pencil to the whole of the lips first.
