1. What inspired you to create S5 Skincare?
I created S5 to help people solve skin problems. I suffered from severe blemishes for many years and I eventually solved my skin issues by adopting a natural diet and lifestyle. I found it hard to find high performance natural products with clinically tested actives so I decided to create some.

2. What is it about S5 that sets it apart from the rest?
The best natural actives I could find when I started designing the range all came from the most extreme ecosystems. Places like Antarctica and the Wadi Desert in Egypt force plants to evolve extreme survival mechanisms. We harness the benefits of these adaptations in our products. For example, plants in the desert are brilliant at conserving water and desert actives improve skin hydration.

3. You've got an afternoon completely free…what do you do?
With my beautiful children. I love what I do partly because it enables me to spend time with them as I work from home.

4. If you could give just one piece of advice to a budding business brain, what would it be?
Do what you love.

5. What is something we might not know about you?
I am a trained naturopathic nutritional adviser. I decided to study nutrition to enable me to offer our customers more advice about how to improve their skin through their lifestyles.
