MEET WILD ABOUT BEAUTY: we ask Kim Jacob & Louise Redknapp about their beauty wisdom

About Us page component.

As we approach Mother's Day on 15th March and launch a fabulous gift offer with skin-beneficial makeup brand, Wild About Beauty, we thought it was about we time we caught up with the famous duo behind the brand. Kim Jacob, a makeup artist for some 25 years and her co-founder Louise Redknapp, are two women used to being in front of and behind the camera. After first meeting 10 years ago, their mutual love of makeup and need for easy-to-use, fool proof cosmetics urged them to create their own collection of uncomplicated, yet exciting beauty products. We ask the duo about all things beauty:

What was the first makeup product you wanted to create for Wild About Beauty?
Lou: We wanted multi purpose, easy to use products for mums on the run so the multi purpose lip and cheek tint came to mind. In fact, our best-selling multi-purpose tint is called ‘Lynne’ named after my mum.

Which Wild About Beauty product makes women go 'Wow' once applied?
Kim: Definitely the Sheer Glow Moisturising Tint.  It's sheer, glossy and leaves the skin looking amazingly hydrated.  In fact, it's so good it's won an award at The Ultimate Natural Beauty Awards.

You've got two minutes to get ready - which Wild About Beauty product do you reach for?
Kim: Our double ended Eyeshadow Duo Pencils for an instant pop of colour.
Lou:  I called two of our gorgeous shades Charlie and Beau after my two children too!

Kim, what's the most common beauty question you get asked?
Kim: How do I get my skin tone right when purchasing a concealer?

What was the first makeup item you ever bought?
Kim:
A purple / brown lipstick from Miss Selfridge

Who are your ultimate beauty icons?
We've got a few but Helena Christensen ranks up there and Audrey Hepburn who are both classic beauties who have their own style and obviously our mums.

What's next for the Wild About Beauty and the range?
Distinct collection for your look, i.e if you’re a mum on the run or a smoky eye girl. I think women like to know what's what and need direction on products so having a professional edit is a must.
