“Emma has turned her skills into an amazing business - I love that. The detail in these edible-looking kits is remarkable - there is absolutely nothing to rival them”
"Witty and practical SOS kits stuffed with every emergency staple you could possibly need - all from a talented creative."
Creativity has always been a big part of Emma Lomax’s life. She started embroidering from the age of 5, and as a child she spent her weekends with her mother at the Royal School of Needlework in Hampton Court Palace, learning from the same seamstresses who embroidered the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress. Emma launched her label (formally Sew Lomax) in 2012.
For her, finding the right fabric, seeing rows and row of beautiful wools, silks and cotton – or even just coming across an old button – can be a major inspiration. She designs all her kits, makes the first samples herself, and each product is then hand crafted and stitched by skilled seamstresses in India. Being finished by hand makes each product slightly different and unique, which is a huge part of the charm of Emma’s designs – every single one is entirely individual.
